Community MusicWorks (CMW) is a nationally recognized community-based organization that uses music education and performance as a vehicle for community development. Sebastian Ruth, Founder and Artistic Director, won a MacArthur Fellowship for his innovative approach to using music as an agent of social change. Synthesis Partnership guided the board, staff and the community through a strategic planning process that clarified mission, vision, and programming; refocused strategy and aspirations; defined new initiatives for marketing and earned revenue; and strengthened the ability of the board to contribute productively to the success of the organization.

Goodspeed Musicals

East Haddam CT

When the City of Middletown proposed that Goodspeed Musicals relocate and build a new theater there, Goodspeed needed to evaluate the implications of such a move. We assessed sites, analyzed architectural program and budget, and created an interactive financial model.

Trinity-on-Main

New Britain CT

Trinity-On-Main (ToM), an arts center in New Britain CT, was formed to save the former Trinity United Methodist Church from threatened demolition and bring activity and arts resources to downtown New Britain. ToM asked Synthesis Partnership for guidance though a planning process that included organizational development, strategic planning, business planning and facility strategy.
